A bookmarklet is a short JavaScript embedded in a bookmark. The JavaScript is executed when the bookmark is selected. and occurs in the context of the current page. The bookmarklet has access to the full document object model of the page and can modify it and use the information therein for a number of great functions. See the table of examples provided below.

To bookmark the following bookmarklets for use in your browser, right-click the bookmarklet and select "Bookmark this link..." if you're using Firefox or "Copy shortcut" to copy and manually create the bookmark in other browsers.

List All Links	Creates a new page with just the links (the URLs) that appear in whichever page you are viewing. You can save the newly created page by choosing "Save As..." from the File menu.
Display Images	Displays all the images on the page in a centered column.
Previous Page	If you want to back up just for a moment (to check something on a previous page) it's often faster to open the previous page in a new window (so you don't have to reload the current page). This bookmarklet does this little trick.
Read Cookie for Site	Cookies are small pieces of information stored in a "cookie file" on your machine. A site can set a cookie in order to recover persistent relations that may build up with a visitor over time (such as your preferences about the site). Select this bookmarklet while visiting a site to read any cookie that the site may have set (usually this isn't very meaningful, but what the heck).
Get Average	Takes a sequence of numbers and calculates the average (the mean) of those numbers.
Zap Cookies	This bookmarklet deletes any cookies set by the site you're currently viewing. Note that just leaving and returning to a page will likely recreate and set the cookie again.
Zap Style Sheets	Disables all style sheets for the page you are viewing.
Show Blocks	Draws borders to show tables (colors indicate nesting), paragraphs, and divs. Paragraphs get a light gray border and divs get a black border. The colors of table borders depend on nesting: outer tables are blue, second-level tables are green, and third-level and deeper tables are red.
Google Translate	Translates from 5 languages (it guesses the language) to English.
100 Per Page	Changes a Google search to show 100 results per page.
Archive of Page	Searches the Interet Archive (Wayback Machine) for all old copies of the page. Useful for countering 404 or server-not-found errors.
All Pages In Google	Searches the Google index for all pages from the current site.
